Morning thoughts

This morning, I woke up with an idea I’ve had for several months but which I really don’t know how to put into words. The reason why I can’t give it a shape must be that what I’d like to tell is still unclear to me. I can see it in images but can’t write it down...
It’s quite simple but... does it really mean anything... and hasn’t this been said already many times before...?
Anyway, here we go... Since capitalism’s won the race (and even before) urban landscapes are becoming more and more kind of a theme park. I mean, we are surrounded by thousands and thousands of images (publicity, ads, posters...) trying to make us buy, visit or simply know something somebody thinks is worth buying, visiting or simply knowing. This propagation of colours and words makes me curious about two things:
On the one hand, the theme park idea: We are living in an artificial environment which apparently makes us feel more comfortable and safe and which is also quite an amusement as it offers the possibility of doing uncountable things in an enclosed area (the city itself or the city centre).
On the other hand, which I find more interesting, the way the human beings develop their skills in order to express themselves, in order to communicate with others, in order to try and say something to someone not directly. This makes cities a place full with thousands of different messages created by men (and women) for men (and women).
I won’t draw any conclusions because, as I said before, I really don’t know if this makes any sense or if there’s something to be told here...

Anyhow, I’ll post some pictures I took having this on my mind.
